Delegate tasks and responsibilities: Ensure the team is working effectively and efficiently towards project goals.
Develop and implement training programs: Keep the team up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in carrier tape manufacturing.
Recruit and onboard new team members: Maintain a strong team by attracting and retaining qualified engineers.

Manufacturing Process Optimization:
Develop and implement manufacturing processes: Identify areas for improvement in the tape and reel production line, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
Implement Lean manufacturing principles: Utilize tools like Six Sigma to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance overall operational performance.
Ensure product quality and consistency: Implement and maintain quality control systems to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues: Identify and resolve technical problems related to the tape and reel production process, ensuring minimal downtime.

Project Management and Coordination:
Plan and manage engineering projects: Develop project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with design engineering, production, quality assurance, and other relevant departments.
Track project progress and report on key metrics: Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Manage NPI (New Product Introduction) transfers: Lead the transition of new products from design to manufacturing.
Technical Expertise and Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies: Research and evaluate new technologies and equipment that can improve the manufacturing process.
Provide technical expertise: Offer guidance and support to the engineering team on technical matters related to carrier tape manufacturing.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities for innovation and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering:
(Mechanical, or related field).
Required knowledge: 2D & 3D drawing & designs (eg. software: Solid Works)
Experience in manufacturing engineering:
(Minimum of 5-10 years, with experience in carrier tape or similar manufacturing processes preferred).
Leadership and management skills:
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of engineers.
