Senior Engineer - Environmental, Health & Safety

Job description

This U.S. based Electronics company in Malacca is seeking a Senior Engineer - Environmental, Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with external organization on EHS compliance matters, including, but not limited to DOSH, DOE, Bomba, Dept. of Pharmacy, FM Global.
• Perform duties as stipulated in Part V Duties of Safety and Health Officers of Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1997.
• Ensure SPMY operations are complying to various regulations and the company\'s Corporate EHS requirement.
• Manages assigned EHS programs and internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform risk assessment, execute periodic audits/inspections, conduct training, promote EHS awareness and manage emergency response/drills.
• Compliance and evaluation of program performance including data analysis and chemical mass balance to drive continual improvement.
• Lead in the investigation of accident/incident and EHS non-compliances thereafter to provide technical regulatory guidance/ support through a systematic approach using tools such as 8D.
• Consolidate sustainability data and validate governance for inclusion in the company\'s sustainability performance.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor\'s degree (Engineering/ESH/Safety/Science related)
• Valid Green Book
• Valid RPO certification
• Experience of 2-3 years minimum from a Semiconductor/Wafer Fabrication/Solar Manufacturing environment
