About the role
As the Senior Engineer, Plan & Spec for Carrier, you are responsible in supporting various account management activities and customer relationship management and supporting the company's interests and developing business relationships to enhance distribution channel management performance.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Engineer, Plan & Spec, you'll be responsible for:
Strategize with the team to build deep customer relationships with M&E Consultants and Energy Consultants in the built environment sector.
Oversee the development and implementation of HVAC project plans and specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with local (MS, GBI, GreenRe) and international standards (LEED).
Collaborate closely with sales, product development, and project management teams to align project specifications with client requirements and company capabilities.
Collaborate closely with BD/Marketing team on product launches/seminars/roadshows and external events.
Drive innovation and efficiency within the team, encouraging the use of new technologies and methodologies in HVAC system design and planning.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that impact the HVAC sector in Southeast Asia.
Develop and execute strategies to enhance team performance, client satisfaction, and project success rates.
Represent Carrier at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing the company's reputation and market position in Malaysia.
Manage stakeholder relationships across projects, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving.
Participates in perspective customer projects and develops a professional relationship to understand the customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet the customer needs.
Aids in business development activities for distribution and channel management teams within defined customer segment to support the business strategy.
Reviews bid opportunities, participates in the preparation of bid responses and the negotiation with potential customers.
Participates in the development of new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.
Proactively identifies prospective target accounts and presents to sales business development team.
Maintains personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.
May attend trade shows at times to increase the visibility of the organization.
Prepares workshops for assigned customers
Requirements:
Has minimum degree in Engineering
Has minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in sales
Has experience in managing customers
Has HVAC experience
Proactive and aggressive in making sales
Willing to travel and has own transportation
