About the role

Minconsult Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced senior Engineer to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in contributing to our strategic planning and consulting services within the highway engineering domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support structural engineering projects, including bridge and general structural works. Manage small, medium, and selected large-scale projects with minimal supervision. Supervise and guide engineers, technicians, and other team members throughout project execution. Oversee the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design to completion. Prepare feasibility studies, design briefs, and schematic designs. Produce design sketches and provide direction for the development of detailed drawings. Perform detailed structural design and prepare required specifications, bills of quantities, and schedules. Develop design calculations in line with relevant codes and standards. Prepare tender documents and participate in tender evaluations and recommendations. Carry out contract administration duties, including reviewing technical submissions, drawings, materials, and testing documents. Prepare progress reports and payment certifications. Address variations and assist in resolving technical and contractual matters. Maintain good working relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Contribute to the preparation of proposals, EOIs, and other business development documents.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Professional registration with relevant engineering bodies is an advantage. Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in a consultancy or project-based environment. Ability to manage structural projects independently with minimal guidance. Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills. Good organizational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to meet deadlines.
