What we are looking for: The Environmental & Decommissioning team currently has a vacancy for a Senior Environmental Specialist with experience in environmental assessment studies. You will work as part of a highly skilled team, working with a wide range of clients on varied and interesting projects related to the energy industry. The Genesis Environment Team comprises a broad range of specialists including engineers, marine biologists, chemists, acousticians, and GIS specialists. You will primarily be involved in the preparation and submission of a range of environmental engineering deliverables including environmental permitting requirements, environmental impact assessments, environmental management plans, and sustainability-related services, in line with regulatory and client specific requirements. In addition, you may also be required to support clients\' decarbonization and energy transition activities. About The Job The successful candidate will work within the Environment & Decommissioning Team, interfacing with the wider Genesis organisation through interactions with other discipline teams and providing environmental technical inputs on a variety of projects for public and private clients in Malaysia and overseas. The team provides a wide variety of environmental consulting, typical responsibilities include: Prepare environmental permitting/ technical reports including EIAs, EMPs, ESIAs and related reports, for submission to Local Authorities (Department of Environment) or to meet international standards such as IFC/ World Bank and Equator Principles for multinational clients. Provision of environmental engineering technical and compliance advice. Prepare engineering environmental design basis and philosophies, as required. Review of engineering design documentation and drawings in support of environmental studies. Identification and interpretation of relevant regulations and standards, in preparing technical reports. Input to HAZID/ENVID reviews and multi-discipline engineering projects. Ensures technical project execution within time and budget by supervising assigned engineers, and coordinating with Clients and other engineering disciplines and supervising assigned engineers Ensure full compliance with Company rules and procedures and adherence to the procedures. Interact with its Genesis peers globally to share best practices About You Qualifications & Experience: Required Skills: Degree in a relevant science or engineering field. Have approximately 5 to10 years\' work experience in a relevant field. Possess working knowledge in environmental assessments/permitting studies. Possess project management experience on small to medium projects. Be experienced in managing client relationships. Be a strong team player. Be well-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines. Understand and manage project schedules and Gantt Charts. Deliver assigned tasks on time and on budget, and identify and report risk of task overruns. Have the ability to identify and implement improvements. Possess excellent written skills with attention to detail.
