Job Description


JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Executive - Accounts is mainly responsible to support Finance Department in handling finance operations matters of the holding company and its subsidiaries, include month-end closing of accounts, management reporting, reconciliations, and operational matters.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations

As part of the Finance team:

  • Responsible to handle full set of accounts, ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reporting & commentaries and other related schedules.
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to ensure timely delivery with high quality and accurate financial data.
  • Review and ensure that all financial information is updated timely and accurately into the accounting system.
  • Preparation of forecast and annual budget.
  • Monitor and plan cash flow positions and prepare cash flow forecast.
  • Coordinate & manage the quarterly and yearly compliance exercises i.e. quarterly report, year-end closing, statutory annual audit, corporate tax filling and any ad-hoc reporting.
  • Liaise with banks, Company Secretary, tax agent, external auditor, government authorities etc..
  • Supervise team members to ensure effective day-to-day operations of overall accounting & finance functions.
  • Ensure that financial matters are in compliance with requirements of the Company\'s policies and governance.
  • Review the financial processes, policies & procedures for standardization and automation, enhance internal controls to align and achieve the Group objectives & initiatives.
  • Proactively identify key issues, risks, and opportunities and make a recommendation to management on financial or non-financial matters.
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
  • Candidate must possess at least qualified certificates such as Diploma in accounting, relevant degree in accounting, or part/full accounting professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years in accounting experience
  • Experience in computerised accounting system, preferably SAP
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
  • Possess good computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to ensure smooth daily operations and meeting deadlines
  • Able to work independently, self-motivator and a team player.

  • Good command of written and spoken English
