KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible to develop, plan and implement strategy to improve warehouse management and operating process, stock management practices and HSSE requirements.
  • Propose and introduce new material handling equipment and update facilities to improve warehouse operation and enhance operational safety and ease of handling.
  • Plan, advise and develop warehouse layout plan for proper storage of goods and formulate new process to enhance warehouse security and material control.
  • Lead in the inspection of incoming Electrical stocks including Meter and equipment to comply with material specification.
  • Manage of STO process from receipt of STO documents, STO posting, freight service request, packing, dispatch, and received by receiver in good order.
  • Coordinate with Fleet Management and Logistic (FML) division for the investigation of material damage due to transportation handling and follow up with insurance claim.
  • Accountable to submit survey report and coordinate investigation with relevant parties (contractor, supplier, DP&C, FML, Corporate Insurance Section, etc.) and prepare quotation for repair of damaged material.
  • Work closely with BFI for the maintenance of building and facilities, water piping and electrical wiring, machine and equipment and others material handling equipment.
  • Manage tenders in SEPRO for the purchase of materials, tools, material handling equipment and machine, and civil and electrical works.
  • Review and advise on annual CAPEX and OPEX budget preparation and monitoring its monthly expenditure.
  • Ensure all parties to comply with DOE requirements in managing waste (SW22).
  • To monitor and update milestone for respective stores SW422 Material Log within 180 days to comply with DOE regulation.
  • Review and propose yearly regional store KPIs.
  • Accountable in monitor MRP projects requirement for materials and requirement date.
  • Provide advice and guidance on warehouse operation matters and SAP application.
  • Plan on workforce management and deployment timely to facilitate warehouse operation.
  • Responsible on submission of non-moving stocks, dead stock, obsolete stocks and damaged assets and meters at all stores to BOS Committee.
  • In charge on BOS tender for Electrical SW422, Electrical scrap materials and Meter non-schedule waste materials.
  • Ensure materials for BOS tender sales are being charged out completely in SAP.
  • To justify stock take discrepancies and take action to mitigate stock discrepancy and improve process.
  • Review inventory ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and to rectify CAR and OFI, if there is after audit inspection.
  • Conduct training and briefing for store personnel on warehouse operation & management, Inventory ISO Quality Procedure, Work Instruction (if any), Standard Operation Procedure for warehouse safety and HSSE for Regional and District stores.
  • Monitor closely regional project officers to ensure material is available at the right time to meet project requirement especially materials for service line, service cable and public lighting.
  • Ensure 100% of materials are covered during the yearly stock audit for all stores.
  • Identify functional business unit risk register and propose risk action plan to mitigate the risk to acceptable level.
  • Develop new strategies to build on the strength and focus area for staff development.
  • Promote and involve actively in Total Quality Management such as EOSH, ISO and 5S housekeeping activities, etc.
QUALIFICATION:
  • Degree in any discipline or relevant field preferred or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse management, inventory management software, and management of work force.
  • Knowledge of electrical stocks (added advantage).
  • Proficient in the application of SAP MM.
  • Courage to do the right thing.
  • Good communication skills in building positive working relationship at workplace.
  • Able to take ownership and stay focus in delivering business objectives.
  • Able to manage and resolve interpersonal conflicts.
SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
  • Perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
  • Perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
  • Keeping abreast with the latest development in warehousing and inventory control.
  • The capabilities to store the various stocks within the available storage space.
  • Clearing of obsolete and faulty stocks.
  • Minimize stocks discrepancies for all plants across the state.
  • Ensure store personnel and visitor comply with SESCO regulation and rules and our SOP.
  • Ensure safety of workplace within Inventory Management Division compound.
