Job Description




POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

  • The BIM Senior Executive will involve in the overall establishment and implementation of BIM for the Asset Replacement Program Baggage Handling System, KL International Airport (ARP BHS) project and MAHB group. The appointed personnel will be one of the focal points in assessing, reviewing, advising, recommending, and overseeing the implementation of the BIM in compliance with local and international standards
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
  • To assist the BIM Specialist in the Design and Project Management Team on BIM establishment and implementation during the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction stage of the ARP BHS project
  • To assist and involve the BIM Specialist in reviewing and recommending for approval of any BIM-related submissions throughout ARP BHS project implementation, inclusive but not limited to BIM Execution Plan, BIM Facilities, BIM Models, etc
  • To assist the BIM Specialist in performing the integrity and quality checking and audit of the contractor\'s BIM model to ensure all the required data, specifications, naming convention, and other requirements meet the required standard.
  • To ensure capturing and integrating asset data within the BIM environment, including linked data using international standards, i.e., Construction, Operations, and Building Information Exchange (COBie) for the ARP BHS project.
  • To assist the BIM Specialist on the setting up and maintenance of the Common Data Environment platform, including the alignment of workflows with the project BIM protocols and Project Information Management for the ARP BHS project
  • To assist the BIM Specialist in the establishment of the BIM environment and readiness for the ARP BHS project implementation
  • To get involved in the establishment, creation, and maintaining templates, standards of workflow, families, libraries, and the overall model within BIM-related software for the ARP BHS project
  • To get involved in several workshops in preparation for BIM readiness for BHS Asset Replacement Program (ARP)
  • Other relevant tasks as and when required to ensure successful implementation of Building Information Modelling for ARP BHS project and MAHB group.

  • Experience in any construction work or consultancy involving in BIM

  • Minimum of 6 years\' experience in any construction work or consultancy involving in BIM
  • Relevant experience in Baggage Handling System (BHS) is an added advantage."
Education

Internal
  • Recognized Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
External
  • Recognized Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
Unique Requirement
  • Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures
  • Advanced PC skills, specifically Google WorkSpace Applications (Doc, Spreadsheet, Drive & Slide)
  • Knowledge in Common Data Environment (CDE), Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCAD
  • Experience in BIM implementation in 3D (Modelling and Coordination) , 4D (BIM simulation) and 7D (Facility Management)
  • Involve in producing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for BIM
  • Experience in coordinating a multi-disciplinary project team (engineers, consultants, and contractor)
  • Knowledge in 3D laser Scanning
