POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Assist in the Integration, Operational Readiness & Transition (ORAT), Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Stakeholder Management teams for new Baggage handling System especially on the development of System Interfacing & Coordination, ORAT, O&M Concepts, the development and execution of training plans, trial plans, coordination and mobilization plans to ensure newly BHS is serviceably ready for operation as per project timeline.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Coordinate works among different disciplines within the project to ensure proper sequence of work execution
• Assist the Integration and ORAT Manager on the Operational Readiness & Transition (ORAT) and Stakeholder Management teams for newly Baggage Handling System projects especially on development of Operational Concepts, the development and execution of training plans, trial plans and mobilization and move plans to ensure newly BHS system are operationally ready at the time of opening
• Assist the Integration and ORAT Manager in the Design Development - 30%, 60%, 95% design reviews for various elements of the program to jumpstart the BHS ORAT process and integration with the live KLIA\'s airport operations to ensure ORAT schedules are developed and integrated into Project Construction Master Schedules,
• Provide proactive comments, critiques, identify operational and business constraints and recommendations on the design reviews with respect to their operations as they currently exist and/or future operational parameters in ensuring the BHS is in good function and operational,
• Assist the Integration and ORAT Manager in developing the Operational Concepts and Stakeholder Engagement & Operational Interface Plan for new facilities and communicate
• Establish, manage timely engagement of Stakeholders, and maintain strategic relationships with senior representatives of key stakeholders including Airport Community (Airlines / Ground Handlers / Airport / Contractors to ensure all stakeholders are engaged in the ORAT program,
• Assist the Integration and ORAT Manager to develop a comprehensive plan for transition of operations from existing to new facilities covering the areas of facility maintenance, operations, commercial, communications, finance, training and information technology,
• Facilitate the readiness of ORAT subject matter expert teams to leverage expertise for the development
• Ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction on opening day of all new facilities by delivering on the transition plan and ensuring all systems, training and contingency plans are implemented,
• Focus on ensuring technical systems meet their intended purpose, providing an effective framework to support staff operations and methodically trialing components of all systems and developing mitigation plans to address any issues or deficiencies in the systems along with corrective action plans.
• Assist the management of System Interfacing & Coordination to ensure successful integration of the new BHS with any existing infrastructures, facilities and utilities in accordance with the Employer\'s Requirements or any relevant requirements.
• Assist to manage the System Acceptance including Conformance to the System Compliance Verification Matrix, timely and succesful issuance of Certificate of Sectional Completion, Cetification of Practical Completion, Certificate of Final Acceptance and Certificate of Making Good.
• Assist in the management O&M of the New BHS including the development and review of O&M Management Plan, Maintenance Plan, relevant manuals, trainings and Life Cycle Costing to ensure successful delivery and execution in preparation for the O&M phase of the Project.

Key Challenges

• To ensure the BHS design, operational process, testing & commissioning program are updated and implemented accordingly.
• To lead the MAHB ORAT Team and work together with the various technical team including the OEM\'s design team.
• Full implementation of Building Information Modelling throughout the project.

• Sound technical expertise in BHS ORAT, possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
• Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge in overall BHS solution including new technology and relevant authority bodies requirement

External

• Strong and possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing especially in Baggage Handling System (BHS) is an added advantage.
• Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge in overall BHS solution including new technology and relevant authority bodies requirement.
• Knowledge and experiences in Baggage Handling Systems and Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Project Information Modelling (PIM) are an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in Baggage Handling System (BHS) is an added advantage.

Education

Internal

• Recognized Degree level from an established university in Malaysia/ UK/ US/ Canada/ Australia/ Singapore accrediated by Boards of Engineer Malaysia

External

• Recognized Degree level from an established university in Malaysia/ UK/ US/ Canada/ Australia/ Singapore accrediated by Boards of Engineer Malaysia
