JOB PURPOSEWe\'re looking for an experienced and passionate digital PR expert to join the Corporate Communications and Digital PR team. In this role, you will work within a team of PR practitioners of all levels, reporting to the Corporate Communications and Digital PR Manager. You will have experience of creating campaign concepts and outreach strategy, producing interesting and newsworthy campaigns. You\'ll be involved in projects from ideation to reporting, so teamwork, and the willingness start doing something enthusiastically is a must.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute integrated strategies through owned, earned, and paid placements on digital and print.
  • Regularly produce written content, PR collateral and pitch story angles that is appropriate for media across various platforms, including digital/online media and social media, whilst ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand messaging.
  • Plan digital first campaigns which are in line with brand architecture.
  • Develop and maintaining relationships with key influencers and journalists to secure favourable coverage and increase visibility.
  • Monitor PR and social trends and relevant industry news to ensure our approach is up to date.
  • Maintain a digital repository of PR material.
  • Research other brands and opportunities for PR exposure and stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in PR, recommending innovative strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage relations and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify newsworthy stories and opportunities for media outreach.
  • Serve as the university\'s primary point of contact for media inquiries, interviews, and press releases.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of media lists, press kits, and other PR resources.
  • Coordinate press conferences, media briefings, and other promotional events, including logistics, invitations, and on-site support
JOB SPECIFICATIONSMINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor\'s Degree in Corporate Communications, Media, Mass Communications or equivalent
RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience in public relations; preferably with agency experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages for diverse audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)(Required for successful performance)
  • Strong enthusiasm for keeping abreast of digital trends.
  • Demonstrates practical understanding of social media and the digital media landscape and how to incorporate these into PR campaigns.
  • Proven track record in managing campaign targets against tight deadlines.
