Overview

The Financial Crime Compliance LEA Liaison Senior Executive/ Executive is responsible for attending to all Order/Requests by Regulators/Law Enforcement Agencies. This role reports to the Manager, Compliance (Assurance).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Respond to requests for more information by the Financial Intelligence & Enforcement Department and/or other law enforcement agencies.
• Liaise with the relevant units and/or branches/centres to ensure that all document requests are being attended to within the deadline imposed by regulators/law enforcement agencies.
• Prompt updating of the LEA register.
• Assist to review the accounts for suspicious transactions (STR) and escalate to the STR team.
• Ensure that customer\xe2\x80\x99s information is only disclosed to the authorized person or investigation officer from the law enforcement agencies as per the Order.

Jobholder Requirement

Education/Qualification

• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree holder in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking/ Business Administration or equivalent.

Experience

• 1 year and above work experience in Law Enforcement or related field in the financial services industry.
• Possess knowledge of consumer banking products and services as well as regulations governing the consumer banking business and products will be an added advantage.
• Meet the "fit and proper" requirements to carry out AML/CFT responsibilities effectively.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English and ability to interact effectively with people at different levels.
