Closing Date: 28 September 2024Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop written communication content with an understanding of the target audience whether internal or external - mainly focusing on leadership communication and employee engagement through platforms including internal digital platforms and portals, print collateral, presentation decks, intranet, newsletters, annual and other reports, etc.
  • Understand business requirements to be able to offer internal communication advice and strategies.
  • Write, edit, proofread texts/scripts to create clear, accurate and concise messages that are grammatically correct in logical structures.
  • Ensure content is optimised for internal amplification platforms, including in reusing, adapting and/or adopting existing content to maximise impact across different channels or platforms.
  • Manage all steps of writing projects - from information gathering to content development, review, editing, design, proofreading, and final publication/broadcast.
  • Primary writer and content generator for leadership and employee communication.
  • Coach leaders/senior management to create consistent and effective dialogue on communication principles including tone, media and audience.
  • Develop persuasive content that suits intended outcomes with awareness of potential impact on audience and any other task assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications & Work Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in mass communication/journalism/social sciences/English language or any other related equivalent degree with good written and verbal communication skills in English with minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Diploma in mass communication/journalism/social science/English language or any other equivalent subject matters with good written and verbal communication skills in English with minimum 8 to 12 years of relevant working experience.
  • Written and verbal proficiency in BM and Mandarin is an advantage.
  • High competence in own functional area with adaptability in learning new skills.
  • Disciplined and has demonstrated ability to communicate well across all levels of employees and external audiences.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge on communication, brand and reputation management, and sponsorship.
Skills:
  • Corporate Communication skills set in editorial and content development, digital platforms and connections, campaign and project management and knowledge in internal communication, media relations and issues & crisis management.
  • Language proficiency for written and verbal - Excellent English.
  • Good eye for visual content design.
  • Good ICT/digital skills - Microsoft Office 360, Dashboard Power-Bi.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and public relations skills.
Special Aspects/Major Challenges:
  • To perform all tasks in line with Corporate Communication\'s operating principles.
  • Able to embody Sarawak Energy\'s brand attributes (professional, humble, open) and corporate values (CURIA) in delivering the Company\'s reputation objectives.
Preference will be given to internal candidate.
