An exciting Senior Executive - General Ledger (GL) job has just become available at one of the well-known retail companies based in Selangor.

About the Senior Executive - General Ledger (GL) Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the financial reporting team in monthly closing and reporting for all group of entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in consolidating and preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports, ensuring adherence to governing rules and standards such as Financial Reporting Standard, Companies Act, and Bursa requirements
• Support in crafting quarterly announcements and board papers for director meetings
• Contribute to the preparation and updates of monthly/quarterly forecast and budget
• Oversee the team\'s accurate and timely delivery of general accounting, fixed assets management, and statutory reporting
• Manage and coordinate system reconciliations to promptly investigate and rectify discrepancies or variations
• Engage with tax agents, auditors, company secretary, bankers, lawyers, and authorities on relevant job matters
• Provide assistance in handling ad hoc projects/assignments as delegated by superiors

To succeed in this Senior Executive - General Ledger (GL) role, you must be future-oriented and possess strong functional and good business know-how, business acumen, strong technical skills in systems and tools, strong process thinking, understanding of the big picture and the ability to look beyond own responsibilities.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Proven experience in financial reporting ,preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and other relevant reports. Strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards, Companies Act, and Bursa requirements
• Demonstrated experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
