At Etiqa, we believe in empowering our customers with the confidence to embrace their financial future. : Ensure adherence to established procedures and processes, to current accounting practices and legislative guidelines thus meeting internal and external audit and regulatory requirements, as well as industry best practices. Support the Team Lead in reviewing processes, procedures to improve efficiency, control and compliance to all standards, guidelines and regulatory requirement. Ensure resolution of all identified audit issues. Maintenance of General Ledger policies & procedures. Execute daily, monthly and financial year end closing of accounts, reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Revenue items and preparation of audit schedules. Ensure accuracy of data extracted from core systems. Ensure completeness of account closing i.e all journals (manual, interfaces, recurring, reversal) are posted Ensure timeliness of month-end closings. Ensure that all SL/GL reconciliation is performed effectively and in a timely manner and provide for year end audit purpose. Report on Variance analysis Perform daily work and coordinate between team members within and outside the unit Attendance of appropriate training courses including accounting standards and personal development. Keep abreast of new accounting standards, Takaful guidelines, Shariah and regulatory. Job Requirements : Possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or a Professional Accounting Qualification (i.e. ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA, MICPA, ICAEW, and other recognized bodies). Minimum 4 years of working experiences in Accounting or related field. Candidates with relevant experience in Insurance / Takaful industry or related field is an advantage. Good analytical ability, understanding and knowledge in overall Insurance business and accounting system. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
