Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform HSE audits and assessments including preparing audit report and follow-up on the audit/ assessment findings in order to measure the HSE compliance level achieved by all operating units within the group.
• Drive risk reduction of the findings by working closely with the HSE Manager/ Officer/ Supervisor of the project in identifying, prioritizing and implementing appropriate corrective action in timely manner.
• Enforce the compliance of IJM Land HSE Management Standard and applicable legislation and requirements at project site.
• Advice HSE investigation reports which include any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease.
• Compile report on HSE for business unit on a stipulated time frame.
• Take an active role in promoting safety and health at work site.
• Promote HSE programmes, training and standard to ensure compliance with the applicable legislation, IJM Land HSE Management Standard, Occupational Health & Environment System (OHSAS) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001).
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to promote safety programme and accident preventive measures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess Degree in Safety and Health.
• Registered as a Competent Safety Officer (SHO) with a valid green book and competency certificate.
• Knowledge of Relevant International/ Malaysia Management System Standard, i.e. MS1722, ISO45001 and ISO14001.
• At least 5 years working experience in a Construction/ Property Development worksite environment.
