KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and implement communication and consultation system and process, in accordance to Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol (HSAP), including HSS certification for the Bakun & Murum HEP and other related projects.
  • Identify and develop proactive communication and consultation strategies on stakeholder engagement in handling the issues of interest to the community.
  • Develop and implement on stakeholder management & engagement plan and standard grievance mechanism process throughout the project development and operation.
  • Co-ordinate, monitor the progress and outcome of the social & CSR related programmes, engage with cross functional departments and stakeholders to leverage support for the company\'s sustainability initiatives and good practices.
  • Ensure implementation of action plan in preparation for internal and external assessments on HSAP, perform ground duties, work together with all relevant stakeholders on common programmes and prepare & compile all related report/documents.
  • Provide support in the preparation of MIHEP community engagement plan including any related study; Involve in Trusan, Belaga & Baram HEP FEL1: Environmental & Social Screening (pre-ESIA report).
  • Risk Controller and ensure all risk-related activities performed within the business units are implemented according to ERM framework.
  • Lead any SIM & CSR Related Awards (National & International level) and the Department Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
  • Degree in Social Science/Community Relations/Sustainability/other related field from Universities or Institutions of Higher Learning recognized by the Company
  • Certified Social Impact Assessor
  • Competent in stakeholder/community management/engagement
  • Certified Train-The-Trainer, HRDC
  • Certified User of the Hydropower Sustainability Standard and Tools
  • Certified Social Impact Assessor
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 years in Social or CSR related work
  • Knowledgeable in implementation of free, prior, and informed consent principles
  • Knowledgeable and able to conduct workshops on corporate CSR PPG
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel & Power Point)
SKILLS:
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Familiar with stakeholder management and community engagement & consultation
  • Ability to understand and communicate relevant sustainability agendas adopted by the company
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles adopted in the Hydropower Sustainability Standard
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of CSR PPG and the corporate Social Management Framework
LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:
  • Accountable and responsible for personal & organization targets
  • Lead Social Impact Management team
