Job Title: Senior Executive, ICT
Reporting to: Assistant Manager, ICTI. JOB PURPOSEThe Senior Executive, ICT focuses on Network and Server Infrastructure and will be responsible for managing and maintaining the network and server infrastructure of AISM. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in network and server administration, capable of both project management and providing support to administrative staff and academic staff, as well as learners. The role entails ensuring the smooth operation, security and scalability of the school\'s network and server systems. You will work closely with the ICT team to implement and maintain network and server solutions that support the school\'s educational mission. Reporting directly to the Head of ICTII. KEY RESULTS AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIESLeading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:A. Server Infrastructure Management:Manage and administer server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.Monitor server performance and resource utilization.Design, deploy, and maintain server infrastructure to efficiently support educational needs.Monitor server performance, availability, and security to ensure uninterrupted access to learning resources.Plan and execute server upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting as required.Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and applications.B. Network Administration:Manage and configure the school\'s network infrastructure, including switches, wireless system, firewall system, load balancing system, Internet connection,Maintain network architecture, ensuring LANs, WANs, VPNs, VLANs, and other components operate optimally.Ensure network security through configuration, monitoring and best practices implementation.Optimize network integrity and performance to support seamless connectivity for staff and learners.Evaluate new technologies and recommend enhancements to the network.Provide technical support for network connectivity issues and maintain accurate documentation.C. Security and Compliance:Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard network and server infrastructure.Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.D. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, server setups and technical procedures.Generate reports on server performance, network utilization and security incidents.Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, cybersecurity standards and best practices in network administration.Communicate effectively with the ICT head to provide updates on server/network operations.E. Project Task Involvement & Vendor CommunicationLead server/network infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate vendor support tickets as necessary.Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed.Communicate with vendors to ensure timely issue resolution and provide feedback on product performance.F. Technical SupportProvide technical support and assistance to administrative staff, academic staff, and learners on network and server related issues.Respond promptly to service requests, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.Monitor ICT tickets and provide timely responses for network and server related issues.Assist during new staff training and new learner & parent orientation.Offer basic support during 1st & 2nd level team member absences.Provide after hours or weekend support for server and network related issues.III. JOB SPECIFICATIONSA. MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONBachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.B. RELATED EXPERIENCEMinimum 3 years of experience in network and server infrastructure management.Proficiency in server administration, network configuration and troubleshooting.C. COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocolsStrong communication, collaboration skills and problem solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.D.
