KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible to establish funding strategies to meet funding gap, optimizing the capital structure and setting investment capacity through Capital Allocation.
2. Evaluate and analyse international and local funding proposal, provide recommendations as well as to liaise and negotiate with financiers on terms and conditions of the financing facilities.
3. Responsible to coordinate and execute new funding initiatives and corporate exercises (i.e. appointment of advisors, due diligence, etc).
4. Provide analytical support to business units in commercial evaluation and financial decision making.
5. Build and maintain strong relationship with other stakeholders from the international and local capital market, including but not limited to investors, bankers, rating agencies, legal counsels, trustees etc.

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

  • Perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the Information Security Management System (ISMS) roles and responsibilities procedure.
  • Perform all tasks in line with the Procurement Policies and Procedures (PPP) and Manual of Authority (MOA).
  • Improve competencies for adapting to rapidly changing business environment.
QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree in the field of Finance/Accounting/Banking/Commerce or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years relevant professional experience with good knowledge of financial analysis.
  • Experience in and/or understanding of corporate advisory work will be an advantage.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of power utility business, business planning and strategy development and commercial awareness.
  • Experience in a financial analysis role, debt capital market and fundraising exercises.
  • In-depth professional knowledge in finance and cash flow forecasting.
  • Well verse of the Malaysian FRS and knowledge of Malaysia Income Tax Act and Companies Act 2016.
  • Sound business and financial judgment combined with problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of processes, internal controls and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business process.
  • Good project planning, organisational and management skills.
  • Strong communication, report writing and presentation skills and strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • IT savvy - Proficient in at least Microsoft Office (Excel, Words, Powerpoint), Outlook, SAP, and able to learn new applications quickly.
