KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Facilitate and coach efforts within various business units and functions to build a Continuous Improvement environment to support an ongoing program of change.
• Establish and maintain the development of guidelines/framework for value (financial and non-financial) identification, capturing and reporting.
• Encourage identification Continuous Improvement activities within Finance and across the department through applying process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
• Review Continuous Improvement plans, projects, investments, measurements, targets, and performance assessments for completeness and consistency with Sarawak Energy\'s value-creating, value-capturing, and value-sustaining goals and objectives.
• Monitor and report on the progress of projects and values created. Assess potential issues or risks when it arises, and lead problem solving and solutioning efforts related to CI project implementations.
• Collaborate with Office of Continuous Improvement as well as the various departments and business units to build a Continuous Improvement culture to support corporate-wide change efforts in Sarawak Energy. Facilitate discussion within the community of practitioners of Continuous Improvement within Sarawak Energy to encourage cross-collaboration and learnings from the best practices in the organisation.

MAJOR CHALLENGES ON THE JOB:

• Be an accredited trainer to assess and ensure that Six Sigma Certified individuals have been exposed to the complete Six Sigma Body of Knowledge.
• Improve competencies for understanding of rapidly changing business environment.
• Ability to focus on the organisation\'s strategies, structures, and processes.
• Ability to travel when required for the completion of job duties.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• A recognised degree in the field of Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years professional experience in operations, process improvement, project management or business analysis would be desirable. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or other process improvement certification will be an added advantage.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Candidates with experience in leading Business Improvement / Transformation projects.
• Experience in the application of Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) methodologies will have an added advantage.
• Strong quantitative / statistical skill set.
• Strong presentation skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills and be detail oriented.
• Strong proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, power-point, and statistical programs (e.g., SPSS or Minitab).
• Strong project management capability.
