Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARYConduct risk based audit assignments from planning stage up to issuance of audit reports within the allocated time and ensure audit work performed is in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing at MAHB Head Office.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Assist Manager in overall completion of audit assignment.
• Completing audit assignments assigned by the Manager and ensure the following:

• Compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and contracts
• Reliability and integrity of financial and operational information
• Safeguarding of assets
• Effectiveness and efficiency of operations and programs
• Accomplishment of established objectives
• Monitor potential of fraud when conducting an engagement.
• Recommend strategic audit findings

• management issues.
• Corporate governance.
• Risk management.
• Compile and submit the audit report on section audited and ensure that

• it is in the prescribed format.
• Quality is maintained.
• It is submitted in a timely manner.
• Ensure that working papers of every assignment are complete, properly organized, indexed and filed accordingly to standard requirement.
• Conduct follow-up activities

Key Challenges

• To gain understanding of business processes to be audited within short period of time and eventually identify issues and gaps in the business processes by the end of the audit.
• To demonstrate business acumen in order to provide value added recommendations on major business processes.
• To promote internal audit as business partner to the Management.

Skills

• Strong technical Internal Audit skills and knowledge of Internal Control concepts, Risk Management and Governance processes.
• Familiar with major business processes.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• High level of ethics and integrity.

Relevant IndustriesExternal

• Degree with CGPA

3.0 and minimum 3 year relevant experience.Unique Requirement

• Member of IIAM/MIA (preferably)
• Any Professional Certification, i.e. ACCA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW
• Member of ISACA
• Certified CIA/CISA

EducationExternal

• Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and others
