  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of Biodiversity Conservation and Projects Unit in executing its roles and responsibilities and accomplishment of annual KPIs as assigned by the General Manager of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
  • Lead the Team as BCC secretariat in facilitating the Biodiversity Conservation Committee (BCC) in executing its roles and responsibilities as the platform to discuss, analyze, endorse and synchronize all biodiversity related activities, programs and projects across the organization.
  • Lead the BCC Secretariat in organizing events or programs on Biodiversity Management and Conservation on yearly basis either for internal or external stakeholders, aimed at enhancing their knowledge and commitments toward Biodiversity Conservation; e.g; talks, seminar, conference, symposium, etc.
  • Play active role in ensuring the Community of Practice (COP) Environment or Biodiversity performing to its objectives of establishment.
  • Play leading role in the execution of Wildlife Monitoring and Rescue (WIMOR) operation for hydro projects including Post-WiMOR operation;
- WiMoR Operation Manager for Baleh HEP (reservoir preparation - package BLP 8) to oversee the wildlife rescue and monitoring operation to be executed successfully.
- Preparation and submission of the Baleh WiMoR Plan for third-party review and submission to the Environmental Authority for endorsement.
  • Supporting the Project Delivery Team in preparation of Biodiversity Management Plan (BMP) or Biodiversity Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (BMEP) or Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) if required during their project development.
  • Play an active role in enhancing and improving biodiversity conservation efforts undertaken by any business unit or team across Sarawak Energy and its stakeholders by providing technical assistance and supports where required.
  • Develop strategic and timely action plans for each initiative outlined in the Biodiversity Conservation Roadmap and to monitor its executions and progress.
  • Establish performance measuring indicators for the Biodiversity Conservation projects/initiatives at Sarawak Energy in line with local and national regulatory requirement as well as International Standards and Guidelines.
  • Play influential role in encouraging active participation from external stakeholders in future biodiversity conservation which might have directly or indirectly impacts by SEB project development through engagement and collaboration; e.g; providing financial and technical supports in community-based activities or projects like Tagang System Fisheries Projects and Tree Plantings.
  • Prepare the annual operational or capital budget for the Unit for General Manager review and support, and to ensure all expenditures comply with financial procedure and are within the capped budget.

  • Perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
  • Perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Science or other equivalent qualification with at least 12 years of working experience in Environmental Management or Biodiversity Conservation or other relevant fields.
  • Having Master of Environmental Science in related field from recognized University will be an added advantage.
Preference will be given to internal candidate.
