To assist superior in conducting internal audit (i.e. on food quality, safety and hygiene system) and external audit (suppliers).
To assist superior to conduct mock recall.
To arrange equipment for external calibration as per schedule and ensure the certification are filed and up-to-date.
To design and prepare forms and checklist for quality check and process monitoring.
To schedule and arrange the samples for internal or external testing. Instruct to release or on-hold the products.
Ensure the Good Manufacturing Practice are being followed by the workers.
To liaise with inter department if any non-conformance found.
To liaise with suppliers if any non-conformance found in materials, issue supplier complaint and follow up on their corrective action plan.
To manage pest control, incoming material inspection and cleaning/sanitation for the plant.
To review / prepare label for products which comply with the regulations.
To act as document controller by maintaining the original documents and ensure it is up-to-date.
Provide internal training in all aspects of Quality Management System and HALAL system.
To act as HALAL Executive in maintaining HALAL Certification by ensuring all the processes and procedures are comply with HALAL Standards and requirements and liaise with respective government bodies (JAKIM & JAIS) related to Halal issues.
Manage customers' queries and complaints as well as corrective and preventive action programs.
To assist superior in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and manuals for QA department.
Ensure all the processes executed are adhering with company QA policies, quality standards and requirements.
Lead and supervise the QC Assistants in implementing quality control system, verifying their records and monitoring their work performance.
To record and define problems and provide solution based on collected data and establish facts for continues quality improvement.
To assist the superior in completing any specific assignment or project as and when necessary.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Biological / Nutrition or equivalent.
Experience: Min. 1-3 years working experience in quality assurance department in food manufacturing industry.
Good knowledge in HACCP, GMP and HALAL standards.
Good analytical, communication and report writing skills. Familiar with the tools, concepts and methodologies for quality management.
Able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
Able to motivate, aid and train self-directed work teams and possess leadership qualities.
Conversant in MS Office.
