Senior Facilities EngineerLife Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew, we craft and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.Supervises the daily construction activities and operations of the facilities department, including systems such as space planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Acts as the business owner for HVAC & Electrical Systems, Waste Water Treatment Systems, Building Management Systems/Facilities Monitoring System, Chemical Treatment, and Scrubbers. Assists with the design of facilities and the selection of contractors/vendors. Prioritizes and monitors progress to ensure quality, schedule, and budget are met. Maintains departmental files, including as-built drawings, system handover documents, project submittals and transmittals, standard operating procedures, and maintenance work orders.What will you be doing?Is responsible for daily Facilities Construction and Operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet standards, ensuring smooth manufacturing operations and compliance with GMP and Malaysian safety/environment regulations. Partners with service providers to maintain efficient system conditions and is responsible for reviewing and approving documentation and site change control processes.Participates in ad-hoc projects, liaises with government authorities, develops standard operating procedures and maintenance plans, and supports validation activities.What will you need to be successful?Diploma or higher in Mechanical & Electrical, Environmental, or related engineering fields, with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities, particularly HVAC & Electrical systems. Experience handling Greenfield projects is an added advantage.Skilled in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of HVAC & Electrical systems, scrubbers, chemical treatment, and Cleanroom Validation. Certified Environmental Professional in Scrubber Operation (CePSo) is a plus. Physically capable of daily construction site inspections.You.
