Job Description

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will participate in month-end GL (general ledger) close and reporting of entity\xe2\x80\x99s results. You will be responsible in the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, review of journal entries and execution of internal control in accordance with GSK Internal Control Framework. You will collaborate with stakeholders and other functions (e.g., LOC, P2P, O2C, Stat & Tax) to ensure successful month-end close. You will be responsible for the financial reporting of the designated legal entities and provide guidance and on-the-job trainings to analyst members within the team.Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in month-end GL (general ledger) close and reporting of entity\xe2\x80\x99s results. Responsible in the preparation and review of Profit and Loss and balance sheet reconciliations, review of journal entries and execution of internal control in accordance with GSK Internal Control Framework.

• Provide Close & Control (C&C) transaction processing support and ensuring delivery quality in terms of accuracy, completeness and timeliness on a daily basis.
• Resolve general accounting and reporting issues.
• Execute month end close steps in accordance with month end close checklist (MEC) and SOP\xe2\x80\x99s. Ensure all activities on the MEC are updated.
• Execution of internal controls in accordance with GSK Internal Control Framework.
• Review of monthly Balance Sheet schedules & reconciliation where required. Liaise with respective stakeholders of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, specifically open items.
• Ensure compliance to GSK policies, local company legal and statutory requirements.
• Ensure stakeholders queries are attended to and resolved in a timely, responsible and proactive manner.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and other functions (e.g., LOC, P2P, O2C, Stat & Tax) to ensure successful month-end close.
• Perform first level analysis/ analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet.
• Other ad-hoc activities:

• Participate in any compliance audits and respond to audit queries.
• Such other tasks as changing business environment may require to be performed.

Why you?Basic Qualifications:

• Degree with Finance / Accounting. CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years experience in Financial Reporting / Auditing experience including areas on financial accounting and reporting and statutory filing

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP experience
• Possess solid C&C experience including areas on financial accounting, reporting and statutory filing, master data maintenance, treasury, asset accounting, inter-company transactions, etc.
• Experience in working in shared service centre in financial accounting or auditing.
• Actively seeks to improve processes making them more effective and efficient.
• Attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Self-motivated and displays initiative in solving problems.
• Ability to plan and manage workload to ensure all key deadlines is met.
