We never want to reach a stage where you are not challenged on a daily basis \xe2\x80\x93 because it means we\xe2\x80\x99re not going fast enough.Why BigPay?Join a fearless adventure, where your opinion and input is highly contributionalWork in a fast paced, growing company where you will be empowered to succeedAn environment where you can challenge and be challengedYou will be surrounded by a multidisciplinary group of expertsCompetitive salary & benefitsWe\xe2\x80\x99re looking forA dynamic, proactive Senior Finance Associate (Financial Reporting).About the jobPrepare and maintain the general ledger, its completeness and accuracy for month end closing in compliance with relevant applicable accounting and taxation standards, Companies Act, Central Bank, statutory law as well as any other relevant reporting requirements.Review and ensure the accuracy and compliance of the financial statements with applicable accounting standards, local and group financial reporting requirements.Lead the audit process and liase with auditors in internal and external audits.Deal with tax agent and company secretary on tax filing and company secretarial matters.Provide support to other departments in any accounting issues and queries.Analyse number trends and provide rationale/explanations whenever necessary.Provide support to the management team when required.Strive to improvise processes, efficiency, standardise and simplify activities within the team.To be successfulHave a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or above in Accountancy and Finance.Having an accounting professional certification such as ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/MICPA is an added advantage.Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in accounting/finance.External audit background and commercial experience within the Financial Services industry are an added advantage.In-depth knowledge on accounting and tax principles and relevant statutory requirements are highly required, with proven experience.Proficient in Excel and Google Sheet. Added advantage to have knowledge in SAP, SQL programming and power query.Candidates should have good command of English (spoken and written).
