Key Responsibilities

Manage full sets of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and month and year-end financial closing. Oversee and supervise daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. Review and analyse accounting transactions to produce accurate financial statements, management reporting, and statutory submissions. Monitor receivables, perform ageing analysis, and manage credit control processes to support cash flow and reduce credit risk. Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to maintain proper inventory control, including stocktake participation and inventory adjustment review. Conduct monthly reconciliations such as bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations, and prepare audit schedules for review. Handle tax-related functions including SST reporting, tax estimates, and relevant statutory requirements. Execute treasury tasks, including maintaining bank accounts, overseeing payment processes, and user access administration. Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations in Malaysia. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities to support audit and tax filing obligations. Lead or support initiatives that improve financial processes, accounting systems, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance finance workflows and strengthen financial governance. Participate in finance system implementations and assist with process transition to support business growth. Perform additional finance duties and assignments as required by Management.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred. Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience managing full sets of accounts. Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local statutory compliance. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Experience within a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment is an added advantage. Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and integrity. Effective communication skills, and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
