About the job Senior Finance Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain full set of entity accounts for statutory filing and management review.
  • Maintaining the entity accounting records and books including the fixed asset register, accounts payables and receivables and project capital expenditure.
  • Accounting for and processing of monthly revenue collection, vendor billings and payments, and staff claims.
  • Perform monthly bank, vendor and reconciliations and ageing analysis, where appropriate.
  • Prepare entity journals, if required, for the review of Finance Manager.
  • Maintain and monitor entity cash flow and financial results/information, and liaise with the Group.
  • Treasury, Finance and Consolidation team on entity inputs for Group cashflow and consolidation reporting.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly tax reports, if any, and liaise with the tax agent, where appropriate.
  • Work with the Finance Manager and entity management/business division to prepare annual budgets and projections, and track performance on a periodic basis.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of management and treasury reports (including variance analysis) of month-end/quarterly/year-end closing.
  • Timely follow-up and submission (for both internal and statutory deadlines) of management, statutory and tax reporting of the Company\'s Malaysian entities (including preparation, liaising with auditors and tax consultants for financial statements; tax computation, incentives/allowances and returns).
  • Assist in compliance and internal control related matters and streamline operating processes including involvement in Finance system enhancement, change initiatives to improve overall process flow efficiency and effectiveness, reporting, financial analysis and compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of the board papers, where appropriate.
  • Any ad-hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accountancy, MIA or ACCA or its equivalent with 5-7 years relevant experience in commercial accounting, treasury and taxation. Audit and/or real estate and Big Four experience will be an added advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, Oracle Fusion/Hyperion, MFRS/IFRS, and other accounting regulatory requirements is a pre-requisite.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, integrity and ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, and ability to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia.
