In general, to assist in oversee the overall finance department functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee daily finance operations including:
Accounts Receivable
: student fee collections, refunds, accuracy checks, aging review, etc.
Accounts Payable
: supplier payments and reconciliations, etc.
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, departmental P&L, and management reports.
Support annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast).
Monitor and plan weekly cash flows.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, and internal departments.
Review information from EMS system to ensure accuracy for management reporting.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and help strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned, including assignments within the MAA Group of Companies.
Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years in accounting functions
Knowledge of
Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel).
Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
High integrity, good interpersonal skills, and a strong team player.
