Job Description


This job requires you to be in charge of full set of accounts including costing. You will managing a team of 3 person while assisting the CFO on day to day ad hoc finance matters.You will in be in charge ofFinancial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts for the Malaysian manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze financial performance, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
Cost Management:
  • Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems to track manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Monitor cost trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure cost-effective production processes.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian financial regulations, including GST, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for audits and statutory filings.
  • Stay updated on changes in local financial regulations and ensure adherence to best practices.
Financial Controls and Risk Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with manufacturing operations.
  • Implement risk management strategies to protect the company\'s financial interests.
Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory valuation and management processes, including periodic stocktaking and reconciliation.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring sufficient stock availability to support production requirements.
  • Analyze inventory turnover and aging to identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
Capital Expenditure Management:
  • Evaluate capital investment opportunities in manufacturing equipment, facilities, and technology.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare business cases to support capital expenditure decisions.
  • Monitor capital expenditure projects to ensure timely completion within budgetary constraints.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the manufacturing industry in Malaysia.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
