You will be reporting directly to CEO to oversee and manage the Finance function and work in partnership with the business on Finance operations in relation to the launch of the development projects in Penang Malaysia.Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, execute, and maintain Finance SOPs and processes at the project and entity level in conjunction with group Finance.
• Work in partnership with the business on Finance operations in relation to the launch of the development project.
• Business partner and provide accounting, finance, and tax inputs on commercial contracts and ad hoc matters including financial incentives
• Work with the business, Group Financial Controller, and Group Finance to develop budgets and cashflows for the Group\xe2\x80\x99s entities
• Maintain accounting records and books, including the fixed asset register, accounts payables and receivables, and project capital expenditure
• Account for and process monthly revenue collection, vendor billings, and staff claims.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and management accounts reporting for the companies of the Group
• Manage year-end closing of accounting records and timely submission of financial statements of the entities for Group and statutory reporting purposes, including tax and banking compliance
• Liaise with external parties, including auditors, tax agents, tax authorities, and other professional parties
• Ensure adherence to the Group\xe2\x80\x99s accounting policies ,financial controls, governance and risk management framework, and operating policies

Key Requirements :

• Accounting degree or qualified accountant CA, CPA ACCA and other recognized accounting bodies) with minimum 8 years working experience in a corporate environment in managerial capacity. Big four or audit firm experience preferable. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Working experience in the real estate industry and/or project development and EPC environment preferable.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to apply finance, accounting and MFRS/IFRS knowledge. Corporate Tax, Treasury, forecasting and budgeting experience will be an advantage.
• You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with problem-solving skill. Intellectual curiosity, strong professional judgment, work independently and have initiative mindset. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
