Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia, an executive recruitment firm is partnering with an international leading logistics and supply chains company to hire a Senior Forwarding Executive. This role is responsible in cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients and providers, by understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions. Individuals would also be able to expand their network by working closely with partners worldwide. This opportunity is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.Job Responsibilities:

• Update details including but not limited to ETD / ETA, load information, Carrier information, and pre-alert information into freight system.
• Communicate with client to up-sell value added services where applicable and form work relationships with client freight departments.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover and monitoring of tasks for a seamless freight delivery experience.
• Contribute to weekly process review meetings (online) with Group business units to address queries and optimise workflow processes.
• Receive client bookings, finalize arrangements with service providers, and oversee door-to-door shipments in coordination with internal departments.
• Assist internal finance department through answering queries based on system and correspondence information that may arise per job.
• Communicate with Global Forwarding and Operations units for additional daily tasks as required.
• Assist finance department in ad-hoc/creditor follow-ups specific to shipments controlled by the business unit.
• Support the Global Forwarding team by preparing and submitting marketing materials as directed by management.
• Assist the Directors with administration tasks as required.

• Diploma / Bachelor\'s degree.
• Experience in shipping / logistics in a similar position.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Proficient in advanced Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Freight related certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in common freight software is an advantage.
• Able to work with remote teams with strong attention to details.
