Job Description

The Senior FP&A role involves financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making processes within the manufacturing sector. This position is based in Penang and requires strong analytical and financial skills to drive business performance.

  • Build, refine, and update financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Review financial and operational results to interpret performance and highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to deliver data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting cycle, including consolidation, variance analysis, and scenario development.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis, develop business cases, and support investment-related decisions.
  • Maintain data accuracy by working closely with accounting and operational teams to ensure reliable financial information.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and market changes to support strategic planning efforts.
  • Drive process enhancements to improve efficiency and strengthen financial reporting quality.
  • Support FP&A activities, including month-end close, administration of the Adaptive tool, and preparation of financial analyses for expenses and other corporate needs..

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or CPA/CFA certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 4 years progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or similar functions.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from complex data.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling, with familiarity in BI tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Planning) considered beneficial.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP is preferred; exposure to other ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is required at minimum.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of converting financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • A collaborative working style with the ability to partner effectively across teams and influence key decisions.
