About the job Senior Full Stack Developer

Our client recently acquired the franchise for a major Asian level annual event, and has newly set up an office in Kuala Lumpur as the central hub for organizing the annual events. They are urgently looking for an experienced and energetic Senior Full Stack Developer to join their new team.

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who is capable of designing and building functional, good looking and robust web applications for internal and external facing end users. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to ideate and define technical requirements for project ideas, and subsequently take ownership of the technical solutions from design to launch. The role necessitates working in a small team and will require solid independent decision making.

Key Responsibilities
You are trusted with designing, creating, delivering, and monitoring the teams software products in a consistently high quality manner. You will take into account the appropriate architectural patterns, code design, and infrastructure options, ensuring that you deliver products that are functional, reliable, and maintainable. Going further, you will also be responsible for post deployment monitoring, ensuring that products that are shipped work as intended.

In addition to being trusted to operate independently, you will also communicate frequently with business stakeholders to understand the direction of which the company is going and engineer the technical solutions required to achieve the business goal. You take an active role in your projects from product design to production, taking ownership of your work and constantly focusing on moving these projects forward.

Key Requirements
- Experience shipping production web apps
- Familiarity with the whole web stack and performance optimisation techniques
- Great proficiency in HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Familiarity with some frontend frameworks including React, Vue, Next, Svelte and Tailwind CSS is a bonus
- Excellent proficiency in one or more backend language, including: Ruby, JavaScript (Node), Python, Go etc
- Good understanding of relational databases
- Good understanding of web frameworks (like Rails, Django etc)
- Experience with deploying web applications to cloud solutions like AWS
- Write clean, high-quality, maintainable code on a daily basis
- Good knowledge of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, architectures
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership

Remuneration: Up to RM 20,000/month

Based in Kuala Lumpur

Working days: Mon - Fri (9am to 6pm)
