JOB SCOPE - SENIOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Lead and manage all geotechnical and slope engineering works for company projects. Review and approve geotechnical designs including slope stabilization, retaining structures, soil nailing, rock bolting, and ground improvement works. Provide technical guidance and supervision to site engineers and project teams. Conduct site investigations and assess soil, rock, and ground conditions. Analyze geotechnical risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures. Review and verify method statements, construction sequences, and safety plans. Monitor slope performance and assess slope failures or ground movement issues. Coordinate and review geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring data. Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and regulators on geotechnical matters. Attend technical meetings, site inspections, and project review meetings. Ensure geotechnical works comply with approved designs, standards, and regulations. Assist in value engineering, technical proposals, and tender submissions. Prepare and review geotechnical reports and technical documentation. Provide expert advice during emergency response for slope failures and ground instability. Support Management in technical decision-making for ongoing and future projects. Mentor and develop junior engineers within the organization. Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Perform any other duties related to geotechnical engineering as assigned by the Company.

Requirement

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering. Minimum 5-10 years of working experience in geotechnical and slope engineering works. Strong expertise in slope stabilization, soil nailing, rock bolting, retaining structures, and ground improvement. Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is an added advantage. Good knowledge of Malaysian geotechnical standards and site practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills. Able to lead technical teams and guide site engineers effectively. Experienced in project coordination with consultants and authorities. Able to prepare and review geotechnical reports and technical designs. Strong communication and presentation skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, and responsibility. Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Willing to travel and be based at project sites when required. Possess own transportation is an added advantage.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
