Job Description


JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAccounting Functions Management: Oversee and assess various sub-accounting tasks, including journal entries, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, and project accounting transactions. Manage and support mid-level accounting transactions and entries.Monthly Accounting Closure: Lead and provide guidance on the monthly closing of accounting books. This includes reviewing profit and loss statements, cash flow, income statements, and balance sheets. Conduct in-depth analysis, offer detailed explanations, address inquiries, and resolve monthly close issues independently. Ensure accurate recording of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.External Audits and Tax Filing: Review relevant documents and collaborate with external auditors and tax agents for monthly and yearly tax filing activities, such as VAT, GST, annual tax returns, and statutory audits. Independently lead discussions with service providers to resolve moderately complex disputes and issues within the specified timeline.Operational Coordination: Work with sub-ledger and other departments to ensure smooth processing of operational tasks and resolve mid-level issues.Financial Systems Management: Establish processes to review, track, and maintain accounting information within financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other regulations. Keep SOX processes and controls up to date and coordinate annual SOX-related activities.Process Improvement: Implement ongoing improvements to established rules, regulations, and processes to ensure proper controls and compliance with financial reporting requirements. Play a key role in continuous process improvement and cross-collaboration on identified or ad-hoc projects.Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany transactions, including preparation and review of intercompany billing and receiving activities, resolving pending or arising issues, providing status updates, managing intercompany reconciliation, and maintaining intercompany loan documentation.JOB REQUIREMENTExperience: Minimum of 6-8 years in finance/accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or team lead role within a multinational corporation (MNC) or shared services center (SSC) environment, focusing on general accounting and fixed assets.Audit Experience: Experience with Big 4 audit firms is preferred, with a strong understanding of audit, compliance, and control requirements.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft applications and experience with financial ERP software, such as SAP or Oracle, is advantageous.Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and practices (IFRS/GAAP), including compliance and controls processes (SOX and internal controls).Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities, capable of providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.Professional Competencies: Critical thinking, stakeholder/project management, problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration.Language Skills: Strong command of English, with proficiency in Mandarin being an added advantage.Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a professional accounting certification from a recognized accounting body (e.g., CPA, CA).Additional Qualifications: Additional relevant qualifications or certifications will be viewed favorably.#LI-JACMY
