The Senior GL role in the financial services industry is focused on managing general ledger operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting accurate financial reporting. This position in Singapore requires expertise in accounting and finance to maintain high standards of financial integrity.

• Oversee general ledger operations and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements in Malaysia
• Support process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting functions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members in the accounting and finance department.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for management reporting

A successful Senior GL should have:

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and financial reporting standards.

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
