Role ResponsibilitiesJob SummaryTo assist the Team Manager of Corporate Action to manage the operations of Corporate Actions Processes, in ensuring consistent delivery of high quality services to customers and meeting objectives set by the Group using available resources allocated while maintaining operational risk to an accepted levelResponsibilities

  • To perform daily work activities as directed by supervisor
  • Assist management in overseeing the daily operations of the team and contribute towards meeting the team\xe2\x80\x99s objectives.
  • Ensure that the Operational Performance Metric requirement, defect management and processing turnaround standards are achieved.
  • Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the Company/Group
Strategy
  • Contribute towards the future strategic direction and process innovation of Securities Services by keeping abreast of changes in customer needs, technology and business environment and taking pro-active steps to embrace and capitalize on these changes.
Business
  • Facilitate the building of a performance-driven organization by setting SMART objectives, constantly reviewing the dept\xe2\x80\x99s and individual performance against these objectives and providing the appropriate support, motivation and guidance to staff to achieve these objectives
Processes
  • Processing day to day activities for Corporate Actions in accordance to established procedures
  • To perform specific duties as instructed by the team management in accordance to the relevant procedures, guidelines, instructions and standards set in order to meet the productivity and service standards set
  • To reply to all enquiries within agreed service standards
  • To take proactive actions for continuous improvement in service delivery
  • To support the development and enhancement of the Securities Services processing systems to meet countries and business needs and more importantly in meeting the needs of the clients
People & Talent
  • Contribute to the development of associates by guiding, coaching, motivating, supporting and assisting selected number of associates
  • Support CA Team Leaders and others in the team on ad hoc projects, strategic initiatives and exercises aimed at improving or enhancing the team\xe2\x80\x99s activities
  • Continually strive to share key relevant knowledge and learnings with others across the team
Risk Management
  • Be guided accordingly and aware of the roles and responsibilities for money laundering prevention as stipulated in the Money Laundering Prevention (MLP) Group Policy, Money Laundering & Suspicious Transaction Guidelines for Securities Services Management, Suspicious Money Laundering Transaction Reporting Procedures and / or Monitoring Checklist, and Escalation Procedure for Suspicious Money Laundering Transactions

  • Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, (including Sanctions Policy) guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the Company/Group
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Diploma/Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant field
  • Minimum 1 year in Corporate Action Processing
Product Knowledge:
  • The ability to differentiate and distinguish full suite of banking products & services, variation or similarities of products/services and in particular can set apart each product life-cycle, the parties/counter-party involved in each product Core
Process Management:
  • Announcement - Full understanding of Announcement process
  • Entitlement / Response Management - Full understanding of Entitlement process
  • Disbursement - Full understanding of disbursement process for all mandatory & voluntary events.
  • Procedures - Full understanding of AS procedures
  • Queries / Emails/ Investigation
