Get to Know the Role
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to drive complex platform engineering initiatives end-to-end. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work onsite in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This is a hands-on technical role where you will independently deliver critical projects, influence architectural direction, and manage stakeholders across engineering, security, and platform teams.
As a Senior Engineer, you will not only contribute technically but also contribute directly to architecture decisions, own delivery end to end, mentor team members, drive best practices, and act as a trusted advisor on cloud automation, infrastructure reliability, and DevOps culture.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Automation at Scale: Design and implement automation frameworks for cloud operations, including account/subscription creation, secrets management, monitoring/logging, and policy guardrails.
• CI/CD Ownership: Architect, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.) to enable secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery.
• Cloud Engineering: Manage and scale large deployments in AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP including Kubernetes clusters etc.
• Innovation & Thought Leadership: Identify and introduce new tools, frameworks, and practices that drive efficiency and developer self-service, with an automation-first mindset.
• Mentorship & Guidance: Coach junior engineers, lead technical reviews, and foster adoption of clean architecture and DevOps/SRE best practices across teams.
• Reliability & Security: Work with SRE and security teams to embed automated guardrails, enforce compliance, and improve reliability of mission-critical systems.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to align solutions with developer agility, business priorities, and compliance needs.
• End-to-End Delivery: Lead the design and rollout of large-scale infrastructure and developer platform initiatives with minimal supervision, ensuring measurable impact.

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with proven ability to independently deliver complex projects.
• Proficient in deploying public cloud services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of complex platform engineering concepts around cloud, infrastructure automation, and integration.
• Strong Unix/Linux skills, including scripting (Python, shell, or similar), system administration, and troubleshooting in distributed environments.
• Experience designing resilient architectures for microservices, container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/AKS).
• Ability to align engineering solutions with developer experience, business needs, and long-term platform goals.
• Comfortable working with distributed teams, managing stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers.
• You have experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.
