Job Summary:

The Senior Insights Analyst uses data analytics to drive business strategy. In this role, you will need to

• Identify questions that we should be asking of our data and provide high quality in-depth analysis and recommendations
• Present insights and recommendations to Kognitiv stakeholders and clients
• Build customer segmentations to aid campaign strategy and planning
• Be a steward of data and analytics across the team and organization
• Mentor and provide support to the more junior members of the team

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analytics

• Act as an analytics partner to Kognitivs clients. Formulate questions and/or hypotheses, independently define scope, and proactively communicate insights and recommendations to clients by way of summary or presentations
• Gather business requirements and then translate into analytics objectives and analysis plan that you and/or the team can begin working towards
• Develop and implement new analytical methodologies and techniques for clients
• Contribute to the evolution and internal innovation of our Analytics and Data Science capabilities, toolsets, and knowledge base
• Continue to develop and build-out the best practices for analytics and share learnings with peers

Team ambassador

• Being able to work against tight deadlines, without compromising quality of the output
• Mentoring and providing support to the more junior members of the team via training sessions, shadowing, code sharing, analysis scoping & planning
• Translate Analytics findings into actionable insights and recommendations for the internal teams to fully integrate DS into the overall Kognitiv packages served to clients

Background and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant analytical experience
• Fluency in SQL
• Strong Microsoft Suite skills, especially with Excel & PowerPoint
• Comfortable synthesizing and presenting technical concepts and insights

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience building member segmentation models
• Experience with at least one core statistical programming language (e.g. R, python)
• Experience and understanding of A/B and multivariate testing best practices and application

• Quantitative and comfortable working with large amounts of data
• Willing to challenge yourself and an openness to debate and collaboration
• A self-starter with analytical astuteness, able to work with tight deadlines
• Team player who can work in a cross-functional and global environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills along with high attention to detail
• Ability to provide recommendations based on analytical findings
• Intellectually honest and curious
• Have an experimentation mindset and love to learn through testing
• Productive in a distributed, remote, and asynchronous environment
