, you will play a key leadership role in the end-to-end design process, from concept development to project execution. You will drive design direction, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver innovative and functional interior solutions that align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead space planning, conceptual development, and design refinement phases across multiple projects.
Guide and collaborate with the design team to establish cohesive and innovative design strategies that align with client expectations and project objectives.
Conduct comprehensive site studies and inventory assessments to inform design proposals.
Develop and deliver compelling presentation materials, including mood boards, conceptual sketches, and client-facing decks.
Produce high-quality 2D and 3D visualizations or artist impressions to clearly communicate design intent.
Serve as the primary design liaison during project design stages; lead client presentations and articulate concepts effectively to secure buy-in.
Manage ongoing communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment across project milestones.
Participate in and contribute to client, consultant, and contractor meetings from project initiation through handover.
Translate approved concepts into detailed technical drawings and construction documentation.
Oversee and review all tender and construction drawing packages to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intent and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, statutory requirements, and client specifications across all drawings and materials.
Manage final approvals and sign-offs for all design deliverables, including materials and finishes.
Prepare shop drawings, as-built documentation, and O&M manuals as necessary.
Provide design oversight during tendering and construction stages, including site inspections to ensure adherence to approved designs.
Collaborate with quantity surveyors and contractors on cost assessments, detailing, and technical coordination.
Coordinate with building management, consultants, and relevant authorities to ensure design compliance with building codes and statutory regulations.
Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
Maintain and uphold internal design standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of quality benchmarks.
Review and approve design outputs; provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
Manage and update the material and sample library to support ongoing and future design work.
Engage with suppliers and vendors to source materials, obtain quotations, and evaluate finish options for suitability in design, cost, and quality.
Support the Design Manager with delegated responsibilities and contribute to broader departmental goals.
Assist with general design-related administrative tasks and documentation as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum 6 to 8 years of professional experience in interior design, with exposure to commercial and corporate offices.
Demonstrated ability to lead design concepts and manage end-to-end project delivery--from ideation through construction.
A compelling portfolio showcasing design excellence across medium to large-scale interior design projects.
Strong knowledge of interior design principles including space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture specifications.
Skilled in client communication and presentations, with confidence in managing client relationships and design reviews.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
Competent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and presentation tools.
Understanding of local codes, regulations, and authority submission requirements.
Excellent time management, with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple project deadlines.
A balanced mindset that combines creativity, technical execution, and practical design solutions.
