Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end interior design process, from initial concept development through to detailed design and successful project execution. Collaborate closely with clients to gather and interpret design requirements, understand their preferences, and align project objectives with overall creative direction and business goals. Oversee and evaluate design documentation to ensure accuracy, technical feasibility, and compliance with industry standards and best practices. Develop and present design proposals, including mood boards, sketches, renderings, and material selections. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, address design-related issues, and ensure adherence to approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.). Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with project requirements and client expectations. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality deliverables. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging materials, and innovative practices to continuously enhance design strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the field. Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and support in their professional development. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and overall project feasibility and execution. Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers. Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of modular systems and carpentry drawings is an added advantage. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A strong passion for design innovation and a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful results. Working knowledge of modular systems and the ability to interpret carpentry drawings is considered a strong asset.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
