Senior IT Application Engineer (Non-Mandarin Speakers Welcome)

Location:

Menara One Sentrum, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Salary Range:

MYR 5,000 - 9,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

System & Platform Integration

Lead

API-based integrations

between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms such as

Microsoft, Atlassian, Miro, Zoom, Workday

, and internal

Finance/OA systems

. Design and implement

secure, scalable, and reusable integration patterns

(REST/SOAP). Create and maintain

integration architecture documentation

.

ITAM & ITSM Automation (ServiceNow)

Enhance

ServiceNow ITAM/ITSM modules

to improve software lifecycle management. Automate

license provisioning/de-provisioning

, contract workflows, and asset audits. Build

dashboards and analytics

to enhance compliance, visibility, and decision-making.

Intelligent Operations & Tooling

Develop internal tools to automate

IT workflows, monitoring, and reporting

. Utilize

ServiceNow Flow Designer, Business Rules, Scripted REST APIs

, and external APIs. Build

bots or auto-response capabilities

integrated with chat platforms or ServiceNow Virtual Agent.

UX & Business Process Design

Collaborate with teams to design efficient business processes and intuitive user interfaces. Implement

accessible and maintainable UI/UX

improvements for internal applications.

Project Leadership & Delivery

Lead

end-to-end project implementations

--from requirements gathering to deployment. Serve as a

technical lead

, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across functions. Facilitate

Agile ceremonies

, maintain documentation, and provide stakeholder updates.

Who We're Looking For

5+ years

of experience in

enterprise application development

,

system integration

, or

IT operations automation

. Strong expertise in the

ServiceNow platform

, including ITSM, ITAM, scripting, and integrations. Proficient with

REST/SOAP APIs

,

OAuth

,

JSON/XML

, and custom connectors. Development skills in

JavaScript, Java

, and scripting languages (

Python, XSLT

, etc.). Experience with

intelligent operations tools

, such as

chatbots, virtual agents, RPA

, or

AI/ML-based IT automation

. Familiarity with

Agile/Scrum

methodologies and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence). Fluent in

English

(Mandarin is a plus, but not required).

Preferred Qualifications

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

or

System Administrator

certification. Experience with

license/asset compliance frameworks

(e.g., ITIL, ISO, SAM). Background in

IT environments for tech, finance, or large-scale global enterprises

. Hands-on experience with

RPA

AI-enhanced IT operations

Bachelor's degree

in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
