About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to support application development and

enhancement for payment processing and financial transaction systems at Nets. The role

involves designing scalable backend services, integrating APIs, and ensuring system

reliability and performance within a secure financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices using Java, J2EE, EJB, Spring / Spring Boot. Design and implement RESTful APIs for internal and external system integrations. Collaborate closely with product, business, and QA teams to translate requirements into system designs and technical solutions. Enhance UI components using HTML, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React. Work with MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle databases, focusing on performance tuning and optimizing SQL queries. Ensure alignment with financial industry standards for security, reliability, durability, and compliance. Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning. Apply OOP fundamentals and software design patterns to deliver clean, maintainable code. Contribute to improving SDLC workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

5-6 years hands-on development experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, Spring / Spring Boot & RESTful API development. 4+ years with front-end technologies: HTML, JavaScript, Angular or React. Strong knowledge of database design and experience with MSSQL / MySQL / Oracle and JDBC. Experience translating business requirements into UML diagrams and architecture artifacts. Practical experience in unit testing, system testing, debugging, and code reviews. Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, durability, and secure coding practices suitable for financial environments.

Nice to Have

Exposure to payment systems, transaction processing, ISO 8583, or financial messaging platforms. Experience in mobile application development (optional advantage). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, or microservices environments.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to manage expectations and collaborate with business stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
