The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science invites applications for the position of
Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering
. We are seeking candidates with expertise in civil infrastructure works and proficiency in structural and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and continuously enhance curriculum and teaching materials across multiple academic levels and programs.
Lead and deliver teaching activities, including lectures, tutorials, and assessments, to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
Provide academic consultation, guidance, and mentorship to students.
Supervise honours, postgraduate, and doctoral students to successful completion.
Engage in continuous professional development in teaching, supervision, and mentorship.
Contribute to the growth, innovation, and strategic advancement of the Faculty's learning and teaching initiatives.
Develop and sustain a strong portfolio of research and scholarly activities.
Contribute to research training, foster research groups, and build collaborative scholarly networks.
Actively engage with industry and professional communities in areas aligned with the Faculty's priorities.
Provide leadership in academic, professional, and community-based initiatives.
Maintain high academic, ethical, and professional standards across all responsibilities.
Participate in the administration and continuous improvement of the Faculty's academic programs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
Registration with a professional body, particularly the
Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
, is required.
Professional qualifications (e.g., PEng, IPEA/APEC Engineer) are highly desirable.
Relevant industry experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure works, with proficiency in structural and BIM software.
Experience in teaching at higher education level in a relevant discipline.
Experience in fostering collaborations between academia and industry will be an added advantage.
A proven track record of impactful research output with substantial contributions to the field.

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
