Requirements

• Candidates should have postgraduate qualifications, preferably a Master or PhD, in the respective subjects/disciplines
• At least 2 years of teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience
• Strong interest in teaching and be involved in scholarly activities
• Committed to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students
• Committed to participate in continuous professional development activities
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact well with students and faculty members
• Excellent computer literacy with ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and teaching methodology

Key Job Responsibilities

• Undertake teaching, research, scholarly activities and academic development
• Establish and maintain links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities
• Design, plan and deliver learning in creative and innovative ways appropriate to the subject disciplines
• Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum
• Prepare and mark examinations, assignments and other assessments
• Participate in the administration of the programmes of study and other activities in the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts
• Monitoring of students performance on the programme, and continuous improvement of programme
• To perform other duties as assigned by the faculty and management from time to time
