Job Description

For the Senior Lecturer - Science at the Faculty of Engineering, Computing, and Science, this position requires the candidate to be graduated from Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology with PhD from a recognized institution in one of the fields below or relevant to these fields:

• Bioinformatics tools Coding and data science for biology or chemistry Molecular biology Microbiology

The candidates should have experience in teaching in higher education. The experience in fostering partnerships between academia and industry is an advantage. In addition, they should demonstrate proven track record of substantial research output and significant impact. Upon successful recruitment, the candidate is expected to take leading role in research building capacity and impact within Science discipline.Requirements:

• A relevant PhD from a recognized institution.
• Having knowledge in relevant sub-areas of machine learning and data science for molecular biology and bioinformatics.
• Having experience in guiding postgraduate students
• Having experience in teaching in higher education in a relevant discipline.
• Having experience in fostering partnerships between academia and industry is an advantage.
• Proven track record of substantial research output and significant impact.
