Job Description

The Senior Legal Associate role offers the opportunity to lead corporate and commercial legal matters within a technology-focused practice, including M&A, contracts, and advisory work. It requires strong technical expertise, client management skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage transactional legal work, including mergers & acquisitions, corporate advisory, and drafting/reviewing complex contracts.
• Provide practical and commercially sound legal advice across various matters, with a focus on technology-driven sectors.
• Advise on and prepare governance frameworks, policies, and compliance structures.
• Handle matters related to Personal Data Protection, Fintech, Intellectual Property, and TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications).
• Manage client relationships independently with minimal supervision while mentoring junior team members.

Key Requirements:

• Law degree with a valid Malaysian Bar Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate/commercial law.
• Strong knowledge of M&A, commercial contracts, and corporate advisory.
• Familiarity with data protection, fintech, IP, and TMT matters is an advantage.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
