Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled

Senior Linux/Middleware Engineer

with strong hands-on experience in Unix/Linux system administration and middleware technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise server environments, ensuring high availability, supporting application deployments, and performing advanced troubleshooting across middleware and database components.

Key ResponsibilitiesLinux/Unix System Administration

Administer and manage

RHEL and Unix/Linux

server environments. Perform system installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and security hardening. Monitor system health, performance, and logs; resolve OS-level incidents proactively. Support automation tasks using shell scripting.

Middleware Engineering

Install, configure, and support

JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka

environments. Troubleshoot middleware issues across application, integration, and messaging layers. Participate in middleware deployments, tuning, and performance optimization. Collaborate with application teams during release cycles and cutovers.

Database & Application Support

Perform basic SQL scripting, connectivity checks, and troubleshooting for

Oracle and MySQL

databases. Support application deployments, configuration changes, and environment readiness checks.

Operational Excellence

Ensure uptime and reliability of Linux/Middleware environments. Perform incident analysis, root cause identification, and preventive measures. Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Work closely with infra, network, and application teams for seamless operations.

Monitoring & Maintenance

Utilize monitoring tools to track system and middleware performance. Conduct capacity planning, log analysis, and performance reviews. Ensure compliance with security and audit standards.

Required Skills (Mandatory)

Strong hands-on experience with

RHEL / Unix / Linux

system administration. Experience managing

JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka

middleware platforms. Solid understanding of

Oracle and MySQL

, including SQL fundamentals. Good troubleshooting skills across OS, middleware, and database layers. Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Korn, or similar).

Good to Have

Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible or Jenkins. Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis platforms. Understanding of networking (DNS, load balancers, SSL, firewall basics). Experience working in enterprise or banking environments.

Candidate Profile

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication and collaboration skills. Proactive approach to systems reliability and optimization.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
