About the Role

The overarching objective of the Senior Manager, Cloud Services is to assist the wider team of the operational performance of AIA\xe2\x80\x99s Group shared Public Cloud services. The role will ensure the smooth operation of the Public Cloud services by responding to business unit requests.

The role will also work closely with the Cloud Engineer, Automation to identify new use cases for automation from frequent business unit provisioning or support requests.

Supporting of cloud environments such as Azure (primary location) and AWS, while working with changing priorities from the team and other teams within Group Technology.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist in the support of the AIA multi-cloud environment (predominantly Azure but with an AliCloud and AWS footprint)
• Liaise with service providers to ensure that operational processes (backup, patching, provisioning, monitoring) for service follow-up and incident management
• Lead a team of senior engineers including people management responsibilities
• Improve operational efficiency via use-case definition with the Automation Engineer
• Support Group Technical Risk to ensure compliance to all security requirements and standards
• Support of non-standard cloud services that might not be covered in AIA service provider contracts

Experience:

• 7+ years relevant experience in Cloud Engineering / Support role
• 2+ years in a team leader capacity with at least 5 direct reports
• Excellent understanding and proven experience in Public Cloud implementation, workload migration and operational support in a multi-site enterprise environment
• Proven experience plus relevant professional certifications (Azure, AWS etc)
• Experience with Microsoft PowerShell
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Understanding of Infrastructure-As-Code configuration management tooling (at least one of the following \xe2\x80\x93 Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, Chef/Puppet)
• Ability to define use-cases for automation and service improvement
• Practical experience of supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation
• Life insurance experience within a regional or multinational scope will be an advantage
• Experience within a decentralized organization, preferably within the Group unit
• Sound understanding of IT operating model design and best practices
