We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager Finance Change Delivery.

Principal responsibilities

• Lead Controls change delivery initiatives within Finance to deliver programme deliverables and outcomes, and accountable for the timely and high quality delivery of the programmes, adhering to HSBC Change Framework.
• Drive project delivery proactively and balancing planning, scope, schedule, budget, resources, communications, risks and issues, and tracking benefit realisation.
• Support the Global Finance Controls Delivery Lead in embedding end-to-end process and controls mind-set in Global Finance Change Delivery (FCD) teams through communication and engagement with all FCD teams.
• Uplift the capability of FCD teams to ensure that they embed the control framework consistently to maintain a robust control environment.
• Work closely with Global Finance Controls teams (i.e. Chief Control Office in 1st line of defence and Financial Reporting Risk team in 2nd line of defence) to support the embedding of control framework and requirements (e.g. Risk Management Framework on managing non-financial risks and controls) to ensure that the impact on the control environment of the portfolio of Change projects within Global Finance is appropriately identified and managed.
• Liaise with Global Finance Controls team to ensure that the relevant controls operated by FCD teams to mitigate non-financial risks (e.g. Change Execution Risk) are appropriately assessed and documented in Helios.
• Assist FCD teams in establishing relevant Controls work stream in their respective projects.
• Be the interface to Global Finance Controls teams.
• Work closely with Global Businesses/ Global Functions Controls teams across HSBC to ensure consistency in interpretation of control issues and agreement of solutions to address those issues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Exposure in change and transformation projects and experience with project management frameworks, methodologies and best practices is a must.
• Strong understanding of the Risk Management Framework and its application.
• Extensive experience and a solid understanding of process mapping and system tools to create processes.
• Experience of driving innovation and change agenda through the use of new age tools such as Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Visualisation tools is desirable.
• Prior work experience on non-financial risk management and controls (e.g. Operational Risk, Control Office, Audit) preferred.
• High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs.
• Proven ability and experience in problem solving and critical thinking.
• Strong relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple and competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of HSBC structures, processes and objectives across the Group.
• Strong knowledge of Global Finance \xe2\x80\x93 functionally and operationally.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience. An accountancy background and qualification a significant advantage.
